In February 2002, my Mum, Elizabeth Jones, travelled from Leominster in Herefordshire, England to Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada for a reunion with her brother Ernest Ormandy. They last saw each other in Liverpool in 1947. The Lethbridge Herald ran the story on its front page (and a story about Queen Elizabeth II on its back page!) - this article does a great job of explaining the background to the reunion. There was also excellent television coverage of the story by the Lethbridge TV company - click here for WMV file. My wife, Jan, and I went too and we hope you enjoy the photographs of our week - just click on the photos for the full size versions.
Is she really coming to see me?
You bet I am!

Let’s go to Lethbridge
Only 48 candles?
(It was Jan’s birthday while we were there)

So it’s goodbye again  - but not for long?
As we drove away ....
Well I didn’t find the flight home tiring - how about you?
