John Ormandy only son of John and Ann Ormandy who came to his death in attempting to cross Ulverston Sands on the 24th day of January 1841 in the 20th year of his age. He was a dutiful and affectionate son and respected by his acquaintance (sic) and friends.
Reader! Reflect in that in the midst of life you are in death. 'Be ye therefore ready that in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh'.
Also of John Ormandy father of the first named who departed this life in the 12th day of September 1848 aged 75 years.
Also of Ann widow of the last named John Ormandy who died on the 29th day of August 1867 aged 80 years"
Sacred to the memory of William Ormandy Kendall son of John and Sarah Kendall of the Cragg, who died 15th March 1817 aged 3 years 8 months and 25 days.
Also of John Kendall, second son of the above who died 1st  November 1820 aged 3 years 8 months and 25 days. Also of Sarah Kendall, wife of John Kendall of the Cragg, who died 10th September 1845 aged 66 years
Also of the last named John Kendall who died 18th June 1849 aged 88 years
