We are a friendly independent walking group founded in 1976. Our walks are led by our members, are quite gentle and are usually around 4 miles of Herefordshire's countryside. Walks take place every other Thursday starting at 10.30, almost always starting and ending at a pub where those of us who wish to are able to pre-order lunch to be enjoyed after the walk. There is also an annual lunch. Amblers and their guests walk at their own risk but we do have public liability insurance. Dogs are not permitted on our walks. We have a personal data privacy policy and ask new members to agree to this. Quarterly programmes are sent out by email (or post for members who do not use email) giving details of the planned walks. An annual subscription of £4 per person covers our costs.

In about 4 miles at British Camp, where you will see the Malvern Hills Hotel opposite and a car park on your right, turn left onto the B4232 towards West Malvern. In 2.5 miles or so, you will come to Wyche Cutting crossroads, where you continue along the B4232 for 1.5 miles to Harcourt Road, a very sharp left turn. Roger and Judy will be there to advise re parking. The walk will start from the top of Harcourt Road at 10.30. Lunch at the Trumpet Inn (on the Hereford-Ledbury Road) HR8 2RA. Please could anyone who is staying for lunch let Judy know their menu choice by April 25th, by email or phone/text. (Email address is judeartist@icloud.com). The menu is being sent with this programme.

The walk will start from the White Lion, however parking is very limited, so suggest we all use the large Wilton Road car park HR9 5JA, which is just 200 yards past the pub, and the charge is £1 all day. Margaret will be at the car park to meet you, Eddie will be on the riverside terrace of the White Lion, where the walk will start. The pub does not open until noon, however, facilities will be made available for us. This is an easy 3.5 mile riverside and town walk, following the footsteps of John Kyrle the famous Man of Ross. No stiles but two short flights of steps. The White Lion would like our menu choices beforehand, information to follow.
